Women’s and Infant’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital

The Department of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is recruiting full-time faculty for the 2018 academic year.  Candidates must be board eligible/board certified in Dermatology and eligible for appointment at Brown at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.  We seek enthusiastic dermatologists looking to build or further their careers in a supportive environment. In particular, the department is looking for a full-time academic dermatologist to direct and expand the Brown Contact Dermatitis Center and the Interdisciplinary Adult Atopic Dermatitis Center. Interest and prior experience in patch testing is essential. The Contact Dermatitis Center has over 300 allergens and a solid regional referral base.   The Atopic Dermatitis Center provides consultative services and long-term management of patients with moderate-to-severe eczema of all types.  It is anticipated that some of the successful applicant’s time will be devoted to general medical and surgical dermatology.  Teaching of residents and medical students and research interests, including clinical trials, are encouraged. The Department has a strong research core in dermatoepidemiology and biostatistics.

Located in Providence, the historic ‘creative capital’ of Rhode Island, Brown University was founded in 1764 and is an Ivy League university offering a world class college, graduate school, medical school, school of public health, and school of engineering.  Affiliated with multiple area hospitals within Lifespan and in other systems, including Care New England (Memorial Hospital of RI, Women & Infants Hospital) and the Providence VA Medical Center, we offer a myriad of patient care and research opportunities.  Faculty will receive appointments from Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital/Miriam Hospital.

Interested candidates should send a brief letter of interest and curriculum vitae to Abrar A. Qureshi, MD, MPH, Professor and Chairman, Department of Dermatology, Warren Alpert Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital/Miriam Hospital via
