Full-Time, Benefitted Position

San Francisco, CA

Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF) has an exceptional full-time, day shift opportunity for a BC/BE Hospitalist to join our Hospitalist Group at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), as part of Physician Foundation Medical Associates (PFMA). PFMA is a multi-specialty medical association made up of over 160 members operating in San Francisco. CPMC (a Leapfrog Group Top Hospital) has been considered the best hospital in the Bay Area (San Francisco Chronicle reader survey) and the 'Healthiest Hospital in America' (Natural Health magazine). Sutter Health is a multi-billion dollar healthcare company with hospitals, foundations and affiliated medical groups from Modesto to the Oregon border, and is the second largest healthcare system in Northern California.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-renowned transplant service in managing a diverse group of transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology and general internal medicine patients in Sutter Health's Flagship Hospital. Join us in managing medically complex patients with a team of renowned specialists and a full complement of consult services, a top-notch radiology service and an interactive inpatient pharmacy. This state-of-the-art and innovative program integrates general medicine, liver disease, complex GI, perioperative and end-organ disease management into a team that maximizes patient care, satisfaction and outcomes. The service is designed to provide excellent work-life balance with a volume of services that allows for thorough care of patients.

Currently a full-time position averages approximately 15 shifts/month.   The vast majority of shifts are either regular ‘Day shifts’ and ‘Swing Shifts’ (3pm – 10pm).  Occasional nights (less than 10/year) may occur based on staffing, but we already have dedicated nocturnists.

San Francisco, the 'City by the Bay', is a wonderful place to live, with something for everyone. San Francisco has an abundance of culture, diversity and corporate strength. It has all of the richness of a large city, with all of the convenience of a small town. The temperate weather allows for outdoor activities including running, biking, hiking, golf, boating and fishing all year round. This opportunity is located in Pacific Heights, a vibrant neighborhood in the heart of the city.

Our patients and providers benefit from a supportive interdisciplinary team at our hospital, including social work, chaplaincy, volunteer coordination, bereavement support and complementary medicine through our renowned Institute for Health and Healing.

If you are interested in experiencing America's most beautiful city, working with its rewarding and diverse population and enjoying the support of a team and system dedicated to the success of patient care, then we look forward to hearing from you. We offer competitive compensation and one of the best benefit packages in California.
