UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA – DAVIS

HEAD AND NECK SURGEON - OTOLARYNGOLOGY - The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, located at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California, is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in the clinical series to participate in clinical, teaching and research programs. Candidate is required to have an MD degree, be board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology, and be eligible for a California medical license. Additionally, candidate must have fellowship training in head and neck surgery and, preferably, microvascular training.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, candidate will be expected to fully participate in the Department’s many teaching endeavors including, but not limited to, teaching of medical students and residents at weekly Grand Rounds, Journal Club, Dysphagia Panels, and weekly multidisciplinary head and neck tumor boards and must be able to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.

You will also be expected to contribute service to the department, the School of Medicine, the University, the profession and the community in some combination. Assistant Professors are expected to provide little service; as one’s rank and step increase, expectations for service rise as well.

Qualified applicants should apply online at UC Recruit: https://recruit.ucdavis.edu/apply/JPF02268 by uploading current curriculum vitae with bibliography, letter of interest, statement of research, statement of contributions to diversity, and the names and contact information of at least three professional references.

For more information, please contact Dr. Gregory Farwell at: dgfarwell@ucdavis.edu

For full consideration, applications must be received by October 1, 2018; however, the position will remain open until filled.
