The University of Central Florida, College of Medicine Faculty Practice at UCF Health in Orlando, FL is seeking primary care and subspecialist physicians for a tenure track or non-tenure track (multi-year) appointment at the assistant, associate or full professor of medicine ranks in the following disciplines: Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Dermatology and Endocrinology. Applicants should be exceptional clinicians who wish to spend the majority of their time practicing. These positions involve delivering high quality, value-based, team-based outpatient care with opportunities for clinical research as well as medical student, resident and subspecialty fellow teaching. Applicants need to have demonstrated outstanding clinical practice as well as a high level of communication, collaboration and professionalism.

UCF has grown to be one of the nation's largest universities and has demonstrated particular excellence in technology, science, and simulation. The College of Medicine (COM) was established in 2006, is fully LCME-accredited and has recently launched Internal Medicine Residency training. The medical campus is located at Lake Nona, serving as an anchor to the 500-acre “Medical City”, which is rapidly growing to include hospitals, clinics, and research institutes. The college also includes undergraduate and various graduate programs in biomedical sciences and biotechnology.

The success of the multispecialty faculty practice clinic, UCF Health, has led to further growth and expansion to a second state-of-the-art facility and hence multiple recruitments to practice primarily in an outpatient setting. There is the availability of on-site imaging, opportunities for participation in clinical trials and collaborative work on translational investigations with COM basic scientists. Currently there are no inpatient hospital responsibilities associated with these positions.

Position Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have an M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school. Candidates must be eligible for licensure or actively licensed to practice in the state of Florida. They must be boarded or board eligible in their specialty upon completion of training. Board certification would be expected within two (2) years of completion of training.

In order to be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate or full professor of medicine upon hire, the successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of scholarly achievement, teaching experience and service commensurate with rank.


It is preferred that the candidate have training, expertise and considerable experience in aspects of medical dermatology related to the cutaneous manifestations of systemic disorders, such as those involving rheumatology and gastroenterology. There is the expectation that the candidate will participate in such joint clinics as rheumatology-dermatology and gastroenterology-dermatology and have particular interest, expertise and experience in the care of patients with severe psoriasis.
