University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH Rainbow) seeks an accomplished pediatric physician leader to serve as the inaugural Chief Quality Officer & Vice Chair for Quality and Safety (CQO). This is an exciting opportunity to join a top pediatric hospital leading the way in patient safety and quality, and work under the direction of a new pediatrician-in-chief, Dr. Marlene Miller, an accomplished scholar in the field of pediatric patient safety and quality. The inaugural CQO will set the strategic vision for quality and safety across the complete continuum of care by championing new initiatives to ensure excellence in patient care.

Pediatric specialists from all disciplines, with faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, are engaged in the most advanced research conducted today and are widely regarded as leaders in their field. Reporting to the Pediatrician-in-Chief and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, the CQO will set the overarching strategy for patient safety, quality improvement, patient experience and value for pediatrics across the health system. The CQO will be a key cabinet member working in concert with a leadership team committed to excellence in care. The successful candidate must be a strong, board certified pediatric leader with a proven commitment to and passion for quality and safety in pediatric patient care. Candidates must have relevant leadership experience championing patient quality and safety within a large, complex academic medical center or hospital.
