East Meadow, Long Island, NY. With a strong commitment to raising the bar for healthcare in our community, Nassau University Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and a 530-bed teaching hospital affiliated with Northwell Health and Stony Brook University.

NUMC currently seeks a well-qualified leader to serve as Chair for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This candidate should be an accomplished clinical leader, nationally recognized in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a strong academic reputation, with the leadership qualities to develop a nationally recognized department. The successful individual will be expected to develop a strategic plan to grow the clinical service in size and scope while maintaining quality, to develop a vision for education in rehabilitation, to direct rehabilitation and restorative medicine research in a team environment and thus to create a nationally recognized program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification.
  • At least five years as an administrative leader, division head, department chair, or other significant leadership role.
