Job Details

The Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and the closely affiliated Veterans Affairs Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) are seeking an academic rheumatologist to join a dynamic and collaborative group of physicians. Both hospitals serve as quaternary referral centers for patients across the Pacific Northwest.  VAPORHCSs affiliation with OHSU, to which it is physically linked, offers unique opportunities in collaborative research and teaching.  The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible in rheumatology and should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care, fellow and resident education, and faculty development.  They will have training and/or a track record in clinical or basic research skills and should be dedicated to continued investigation. Responsibilities include patient care (outpatient and inpatient), trainee supervision and education, and research.  Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials. Relocation and incentives may be authorized. For consideration, please email a CV and cover letter to Jim Rosenbaum MD, at rosenbaj@ohsu.edu and Pascale Schwab MD, at pascale.schwab@va.gov.

OHSU and VAPORHCS are equal opportunity/affirmative action employers. OHSU values a diverse and culturally competent workforce. Individuals with diverse backgrounds and those who promote diversity and a culture of inclusion are encouraged to apply.

Situated in the heart of the magnificent Pacific Northwest about an hour away from the coast line and the Cascade Mountains, and known as one of the greenest cities in America, Portland is a progressive, vibrant city with cultural offerings and breathtaking scenery. With a population of about 650,000, a temperate climate, and miles of running trails and parks, Portland combines serene urban living with immediate access to the Pacific wilderness.

For consideration, please email a CV and cover letter to Jim Rosenbaum MD, at rosenbaj@ohsu.edu and Pascale Schwab MD, at pascale.schwab@va.gov.
