Job Details

West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine announces a faculty opportunity in the Section of Digestive Diseases for an academic gastroenterologist. Qualified applicants will have completed appropriate training to perform advanced endoscopy procedures, ERCP and/or EUS. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students, internal medicine residents and gastroenterology fellows.


Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship at the time of appointment. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.


Our GI service line of professionals treat a diverse population and have exposure to clinically challenging cases in our state of the art endoscopy center with a suite for ERCPs and adjacent clinics. Candidates with research credentials will be eligible for appointment and resources in the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
